A trip to Jadhavgadh

Fond memory with my girlfriends.

A wonderful 2-day weekend trip to Jadhavgadh when you need a break from Mumbai city's hustle is never gonna be a bad idea. So, here's how we planned.

We booked through booking.com for a Saturday night along with breakfast. We started at 7.30 AM from Borivali. Ideally, start as early as possible, so that you can reach there and enjoy the property. The check-in time officially is 1pm, but you can start getting the feel of the place early. Mind you, it is an Orchid property that we came to know only after reaching there, so definitely it is a good one. Once you reach, the best idea is to take an Ala Carte food at their Chajja restaurant in the veranda. It is beautiful and surreal, especially in winter. Once you finish lunch, you can check-in your tents. A recommendation here- Rooms are quite claustrophobic and the tents are huge and airy.

The property is huge with lots of greenery, pretty trees, and ample space to jump and flutter.. both in your mind and heart. There is an open space for open-sky wedding celebrations as well. The purple carpet ends at a small temple. The periphery also has a few hammocks and kids' play area.

The Museum area

There is a 3 storeyed museum area is a times-travel to the ancient history of the fort capturing the people's daily lives, events, and artifacts.

The place ensures to rub onto you a very royal feel of living in a fort with a powerful historical story. The traditions of vermillion, tutari, the morning aarti, etc. helps you get back to your roots of Indianness and love for the diversity of this country. It's a very pleasant & memorable experience for a change of mind and location away from the hustle.
